Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Chevrolet Trax- Video
John: Hey guys. John here at etrailer.com. Today, we have our 2020 Chevy Trax and we are test fitting the Hollywood racks destination two bike platform rack. This is designed for one and a quarter inch and two inch trailer hitch receivers. It's a great way to get up to two bikes to our favorite destination without loading them on top of our vehicle with a roof mount bike rack or trying to fit them in the rear hatch area of this vehicle. It is a smaller crossover, and so it would be hard to get a bike into the rear of this vehicle, so this is a great option for us.The destination can hold up to two bikes weighing 35 pounds each. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Chevrolet Trax- Video

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Chevrolet Trax- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Trax we're going to be test fitting the Thule Double Track Pro Two Bike Platform Rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches. Part Number TH9054. We have a bike already installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look here.Now, unlike most Thule bike racks, or at least platform style bike racks, this one does not tilt away to gain rear hatch access. We can gain rear hatch access, but we'll get to that a little bit later. It did make some improvements, though, on how the bike attaches to the vehicle. more

Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Chevrolet Trax- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Trax we're going to be test fitting the Saris SuperClamp EX 2-bike platform rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number SA4025F. We have a bike installed on it already. Let's take a closer look.Unlike its predecessor, this is able to tilt away from the vehicle because they have the addition of this pull handle up at the front. You simply pull it out like so and let it come forward. We are able to gain full access to our rear hatch. You can see that there's plenty of space and clearance between the handlebars and the hatch as well.How to put this back up into place, you lift up on the bike rack, never the bike, till you hear that click. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Trax, we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider 2-Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches, part number HR200.We have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look at it here. Now, most platform racks will tilt away with both bikes still attached. This is a pretty bare bones bike rack, as it does not do that. It holds your bike at three points, will have two hook and loop straps on either wheel, and will also have this padded frame hook up at the top. It is padded to ensure the frame of your bike doesn't have any scratches on it once it's being installed. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Chevrolet Trax- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Trax, we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Transfer 2-bike platform rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number TS02G. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Its most prominent feature is the fact that it can tilt away with both bikes still attached. What makes it unique in that sense is that it has a foot pedal to do so as opposed to a pin that you have to come up to the front and try to get around two bikes to get to. What we'll do is we'll come to the peddle here, push down with our foot holding onto the bike rack, and letting it tilt forward. With that done, we're able to gain full rear hatch access with no problem and plenty of space on either side to get what we need, but also plenty of space in between our handlebars and the hatch as well, so there's not going to be any possibility of contact in that area.To put it back up, you just simply lift up on the bike rack, never the bike, until you hear that click. more

Kuat Transfer 2 Bike Platform Rack Review - 2016 Chevrolet Trax- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Trax we're going to be test fitting the Kuat transfer 2-bike platform rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number TS02G. We already have the bike installed on the rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. The first feature being that this can tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes still attached. To do that, holding onto the bike rack we can push this tab here, which will release it to be able to tilt forward. And with that, we'll be able to open up our rear hatch to get what we need. And plenty of space on either side to do so. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Chevrolet Trax- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Trax we're going to be test fitting the Thule Doubletrack Pro 2-bike platform rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number TH9054. We already have a bike on our rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. It makes three points of contact with your bike to attach it to the rack. We're going to have this frame clamp in the middle here which tightens down with this knob. It does have a knockout to add a Thule lock core in it. We also have wheel straps that will hold the tires in place once the bike is installed as well. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Chevrolet Trax- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Trax, we're going to be test fitting the Swagman XT 2-bike rack, part number S64650. This can be used with 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. We already have a bike installed on the rack so let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike attaches to the rack, we're going to have one point of contact. That's going to be the padded frame hook up at the top which will hold the bike in place. It is padded to ensure that the frame itself doesn't damaged once it's being installed. We also have adjustable wheel cradles by loosening and tightening these knobs to accommodate loading and to accommodate bikes of different sizes. The bike rack also has a raised shank so even if your hitch sits particularly low to the ground, you're not going to have an issue of clearance between your bike rack and the ground. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Trax, we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider 2-Bike Rack, part number HR200. This does work with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. We already have a bike installed on the rack, so let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike is attached to the rack, we'll have three points of contact: We'll have two hook-and-loop straps on either tire, and a padded frame hook up at the top which is padded to ensure the frame of your bike doesn't get scratched up or damaged once it's being installed. The wheel cradles are adjustable by loosening and tightening these knobs, and they're adjustable to accommodate bikes of different sizes and to assist with loading. Let's go and take the bike off. We'll start with the hook-and-loop straps. more
